Thank you for visiting my electronic portfolio!
My name is Sarah Voorhees and I am a young public health professional with a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health. While at BUSPH I concentrated in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and have strong interests in international health, gender-based violence, and human rights.
Here you will find examples of my coursework, and how it can be applied to public health practice and research. I also invite you to look at my practicum project and resume for a greater understanding of my skills, experience, and interests.
Professional Mission Statement
I will use my comprehensive public health training as a tool to research, assess, implement, manage, and evaluate programs to reduce the prevalence of gender-based violence, and expand reproductive health choices and human rights for women. I will advocate for funding and policies to support these programs and initiatives within the United States and internationally.
